On Sunday 11th August 2013 at 11am, a group of poets met at The Factory Cafe in West Brunswick. After cups of tea and an instructional talk by poet and Gingko leader Myron Lysenko, they set out to walk around West Brunswick and collect Haiku. At 12.30pm, they reconvened in Pagola at Reaburn Reserve to share their work. Here are the haiku and senryu that I wrote:

dental surgery
people eat
cake outside

sun shines
the florist
is closed

grandview hotel
across the road
plumbers

hunter street-
fresh fish
caught today

power lines sing
mother says,
"let's walk in the sun"

racecourse
wind whips up
a ponytail

victoria street-
postbox stands
at the bus stop

50km zone
cars travel
to the racecourse
